What do you love most about your job? What I love most about my job is working with all of the people at TMWA, because everyone is so dedicated, talented, and caring.
What is unique about your job at TMWA? The fact that our water system is very complex, and that there is a lot of variety.
What have you learned working at TMWA? I have learned a great deal about water treatment, water supply, distribution and storage, and that TMWA does a fantastic job delivering great, quality water to the community.
Do you have a favorite technology that you use at TMWA? The hydraulic network analyses software that we use. The software simulates the water system. We have all of our pipes, pumps, wells and tanks in the software and we run scenarios to size the facilities to meet certain pressure and flow criteria. The engineers build the models, run the models, and maintain the models, and it is fun!
What is one of your proudest professional accomplishments while working at TMWA? It was a department wide accomplishment; we put out the 20 year water facility plan in 2004. The 20 year plan maps out facilities in order to ensure that we meet the community’s needs for the next 20 years.
