MIKE CARRIGAN Carrigan was elected to the council in June of 1999 for a four year term. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1973 and is a retired Naval officer with 24 years of service. Carrigan earned his Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1997. He serves on the Regional Planning Governing Board and the Joint Annexation Subcommittee, as well as the Nevada League of Cities Legislative Committee and the Sparks Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee. He is also a member of the Washoe County Republican Central Committee. | |

BOB CASHELL
Bob Cashell was elected Mayor of Reno in November, 2002. He served as Lieutenant Governor of Nevada from 1982 to 1986, and on the University of Nevada System Board of Regents from 1979 to 1982. He has over 35 years of entrepreneurial, executive and governmental experience throughout Nevada. He is Chairman of the Board of Cashell Enterprises, a hotel/casino/resort management company. He also owns the Alamo Travel Center and the Topaz Lodge and Casino. In 1967, Bob Cashell and four others purchased a truck stop west of Reno called Bill & Effies. He changed the name of the company to Boomtown, and over the next 18 years oversaw numerous expansions. He sold Boomtown in 1988. Appointments:

TOM YOUNG Local businessman, Tom Young, of Fennell & Associates is the new Reno City Council appointee to the Board of Directors for TMWA. Young has been in the commercial real estate business since 1991 and with Fennell & Associates for the past ten years. Young has more than thirty years of experience working on water-related issues such as the Truckee River Operating Agreement (TROA) and numerous conservation policies, both as a private citizen and as a governmental affairs consultant. Over the years he has served on several boards and committees, including the University of Nevada, Reno's College of Engineering Advisory Board, United Way and the Red Cross. | |

GENO MARTINI Mayor of Sparks PO Box 857 Sparks, NV 89432 (775) 353-2311 gmartini@cityofsparks.us Mr. Martini was appointed to the Sparks City Council representing Ward 3 in July, 1999 to complete an unexpired term. He was re-elected in June, 2001 and again in November, 2004. He was elected Mayor Pro Tem by the City Council in July, 2003 and served in that capacity until February 22, 2005 when he was sworn in as Mayor. Mr. Martini is a life-long resident of Sparks and a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. He recently retired following a 30-year career in the banking industry. He serves on the Regional Planning Governing Board, Debt Management Commission, Truckee River Flood Control Project Coordinating Committee, and the Joint Sewer Coordinating Committee. He is also active in a number of civic organizations. | |
